In English it sounds like “ Shame ”. It is a Norwegian television series about the daily life of high school students at Hartwig Nissen School. Today you will learn about this popular teen TV series.
How it all began
The first series was released on September 25, 2015 on the NRK website. The narration is conducted on behalf of one character in each season, to whom the season is dedicated. The television series has become the most popular show in Norway. Each new series is watched by about 200 thousand TV viewers. Currently, the series is not removed. The fourth season was the last.
The creator of the television series, Julia Andeme wrote in her Instagram: “Shame” became our work 24 hours a day. It was very interesting to work on the show and I really believe that it gave you absolutely amazing energy and you can be sure that Shame will continue to surprise and delight you. We recently decided that there will not be a new season in the fall. I know that many of you will be upset and disappointed to hear this, but I’m sure we made the right decision. ”
The plot of the series
The series tells about the daily life of high school students Nissen. The series raises issues of concern to teenager, that’s why most fans are teenagers.
In the first season, the main character is Eve, who faces a difficult relationship with her boyfriend Jonas.
The second season, the main character of which becomes Noura, is built around a relationship with a graduate William.
Isak, the protagonist of the third season, is trying to understand his orientation, as well as build relationships with a guy suffering from bipolar disorder.
Sana Bakush became the main character of the fourth season. Thanks to this season, we can learn more about her religion and personal relationships.
In 2016, the television series received three awards from the Norwegian Gullruten TV Award in the Best TV Drama category, Best New Project and Innovation of the Year.
The rights to adapt outbid several channels at once: French France Televisions, German ZDF / funk, Spanish Moviestar +, Italian Timvision and even Dutch NRT / NPO. French and German remakes have already been released, and the first Italian excerpt appeared on the network on March 23. The remaining adaptations are still under development.
